Thanks so much for your commitment to our NSA-North Florida Chapter! We are going to have a wonderful year! I have always thought that leadership has to be both fun and efficient to be truly productive. My promise to you is that we will plan an outstanding year for our chapter, get to know each other really well, grow our membership, create a strong sense of family, and have a great time in the process!

On September 4th, we will host our first board meeting of our new 2009-2010 year. While this first meeting will be face-to-face, we will plan to have some of our board meetings via conference callS if that is more convenient for the group. Please plan to join us as your ideas will help shape our chapter for the months and years to come. Out of respect for your time, we will start the meeting promptly and end on/or before 12:30.

Note: I want to make serving on the board easy and FUN! Except for the Secretary Minutes and Treasurer Report, board members can give verbal reports that will be included in the Secretary's Minutes and provided to all board members.

    • Visioning strategy for chapter development, quality educational programming, and networking)
    • Professional development encouragement for non-NSA speakers (ultimate goal: become professional members of NSA)
    • Dates of board meetings and/or conference calls
    • Chapter elections at September 4th meeting
    • Chapter meeting agendas
    • Speaker appreciation gifts

    • Chapter meeting dates (including discussion of the number of meetings per chapter year)

    • Assessment of communication venues to share information and encourage networking among the board and general members

    • Current status of chapter finances
    • Budget (anticipated expenses for this year)
    • Cost of NSA affiliation dues

    • Ideas for chapter enhancement and growth
