One of mine was to continually learn new and interesting things both personally and professionally. As a member of the Gem and Mineral Society, I signed up to take classes to learn silversmithing and advanced gem inlay processes. We all need to have a good balance between work and play. When I finished making amethyst rings for both my husband and me, I felt a strong sense of accomplishment and delight! After each NSA-NF meeting I feel a similar feeling of accomplishment and delight. Having been a trainer and speaker for over thirty years, I truly value lifelong learning. Each time I attend one of our meetings, I experience "take home value" that I can apply to my business. The quality of our speakers is second to none. The networking between members is energizing and stimulating. The relationships that we aredeveloping in our chapter grow stronger with each event. How can we not be delighted? It simply does not get better than this! Last meeting, Jim Ziegler taught us the strategies that he has used throughout his amazing career to be exceptional at work and with his marriage. What a great team he and his wife make. For our next meeting on April 9th at The University Club we will build on what we learned and move our businesses forward to our next level of success. There are many facets to a successful speaking business. From social networking to productive marketing layered upon a foundation of strong platform skills, it is all important. You just have to decide where your business needs the most attention right now. Our chapter programming will offer insight into all aspects of managing your speaking business. If you want to experience lifelong learning and be very successful at your chosen field of professional speaking, NSA-North Florida is the chapter for you! VP for Education Linda Harvey is doing a fantastic job of lining up the best of the best for YOU! I can't wait to learn from Monica Wofford, CSP about her ideas for achieving "Authenticity from the Stage". Monica is well respected both as a member of NSA and the Central Florida chapter. Welcome Monica! Just to keep you informed about what your wonderful executive board is doing to help our chapter grow, we will be meeting on March 27th for a half day strategic planning meeting. We will have great news to share with you on April 9th! We are developing committees that our members can participate in very soon. If you want to get more involved, think about joining our Hospitality Committee to help great guests, our speakers, and members. Volunteering helps you to develop relationships and friendships. This is your chapter. Our continued success depends on everyone helping a little bit.
